Hi, I'm Clayne, and I live in Andalusia, Alabama. I work on an oilrig in the Gulf of Mexico, so 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off gives me time to pursue my hobbies: hunting, fishing, geocaching, camping and hiking. If I'm not in the woods or on the water, I can usually be found hanging around at www.usdeer.com, where I'm a moderator (everyone invited to join up, we could use the traffic!) or www.aldeer.com . When I AM in the woods or on the water, it's almost always with TexasHuntress, my true love and partner in everything I do!

Update: I forgot to point out that the USDeer.com website is still under development. To access the forums, go to usdeer.com, click on "ENTER", then click on "Deer Talk Forum" on the left side of the page. The site owner, Dave, is currently deployed in Afghanistan, but will resume development of the rest of the site as soon as he's able to. Hope to see you there!

Camoflauge, the Great Outdoors, cooking and good food, the sight and sound of an approaching deer, a tight fishing line, cool weather, warm weather, daybreak, campfires, hot women and cold beer.

Neckties, tight shoes, big cities and traffic, insincerity, wet toilet paper, cold women and hot beer.

Sorry to hear that the trip did not work out for you.  The birds are still flying, but I don't see as many.  Hopefully next time the weather will be better and everyone will be well.  Keep me posted.

You sound like I do when it comes to deer hunting.  I started bird hunting last year for the first time.  Well, I just hunted dove.  It was really fun, but I was not that great considering that they were flying at me.  I have a very good friend that is a guide and he takes people out on duck and geese hunts fishing too.  You can see alot of those pictures on www.bayflatslodge.com.  Again, good luck with the hunt, hopefully the weather will hold out and it will not be too hot or cold.

Yeah, he lives out Hwy 71 N so ya'll will probably hunting towards the Garwood area.  Pretty good hunting over there.  I do not know him, but I work for the school so pretty much know where the families live around here.  There are a couple of nice leases that way.  Good luck to ya'll, let me know how it turns out.
