The bass in that pic was right at 9 1/2 lbs...She had chased some bait up into shallow water during the night and stranded herself in 2" of water.  I picked her up and spent most of the day trying to revive her...she didn't die, but never would right herself, so I ended up keeping her.  She had just spawned out, though, or she'd have been closer to 12 lbs...her belly was completely slack.
