My name is Robert, and go to school down here in College Station. I have a wonderful family which includes my dad, mom, and sister who goes to LSU. I love the outdoors, but my passion is waterfowl hunting. I also love fishing when it is not hunting season. I have a wonderful yellow lab named Luke who is the best friend I can ask for. He is the one who really got me started in waterfowl hunting, and if it wasn't for him I would not be where I am today. I also love the Lord, and put him before any thing. I live my life to the fullest because life is too short and precious not to.

I started my waterfowl passion when I was about 10 years old , when my father would take me down to the coast to hunt. Ever since my first duck hunt I have been addicted, and begged my dad to continue taking me until I got my truck. Once I got my truck I took it a step further and began doing every thing on my own, with Luke riding in the front seat. Found my new honey holes, new places to hunt, met new people, and the best of all about every weekend I was spending time in the great outdoors. After my first 2 years I had my truck, my friends and I found out what it was like to be true dedicated waterfowlers. Once my waterfowling stage took off, I began wanting Luke to be the best he could be. I began training him to be an advanced hunting dog as well as running hunt test. We ran a few test, had some ups and downs, passed a few, and failed some, but the most important to me is growing the bond between him and I. Now , he is my best friend. He goes every where with me, sleep s in my bed on occasions, rides in the truck, and does whatever he prefers. He is the best bud I can ask for. Just last year, I was introduced to the Rich-N-Tone crew for competition duck calling. They tuned a MVP for me, I practiced, practiced and practiced some more for calling competitions. My very first competition was in Stuttgart,AR at the Mack's Prairie Wings Regional Contest. Even though I forgot half of my routine when I got up there, I still learned a lot and had a blast and continue to enjoy comp calling.

I am now proud to call myself a member of Team CASTnSHOOT too. I have been working with these great guys for about a year now trying all different sides of the crew. We all love to film the outdoors, edit, and do whatever it takes to get some awesome hunting or fishing footage out there.

Hi Robert,

My season has been slow. Only had two trips but they were good ones. Three and a half days in Ontario in October. We had 11 man limits every day of Canadas and we killed 124 ducks.  Last weekend I hunted flooded timber near Jonesboro in NE AR. Saturday it poured down rain, the 7 of us only killed 10 Mallards. On Sunday the sun shined and we were done in about 30 minutes. Going backup there in about a week.

I do like your shotgun, but don't know what I'm going to do.  I could shoot my Beretta 686 for the rest of the year.  Or switch to a semi-auto.  Just don't know yet.  My Franchi needs to go to the gunsmith as it won't cycle.  Don't really want to shoot the 1187 Super Mag.  Heck, I may end up buying an 870 Super Mag! LOL  I will worry about all of that when I get back from Mexico.
